I chose to look at the movie "Mannequin" from the 1980's as it portrays fashion in the 80s which is a major plot point as the main character works in a retail store, and becomes friends which a very outgoing and enthusiastic stylist who's clothing is extremely bright and full of patterns, as do many of the other characters, which is two of the many trends that have followed my era. The movie itself was based in New York city which is one of the many big representatives of the fashion industry. The movie itself also expresses the differences of American fashion through involving an alternative age range from 20 onwards. I feel as if the movie itself is aimed at higher class individuals as the retail store is in the central of the big apple and just from the items of clothing used for the movie.
